چکیده
Foods derived from plants are important sources of food for natural enemies and influence several functions their existence, including reproduction. The objective the current study was to assess effect different host densities on oviposition efficiency key parasitoids Spodoptera frugiperda. experiment set up under laboratory conditions in a completely randomized block design with three factors namely (four), feeding (groundnut pollen, soybean nectar, honey, starved as control) (five), total 80 treatments. There were five replications experimental while repeated four times, 20 each treatment. Results showed that functional response adult influenced both by densities. Soybean nectar worked best like followed groundnut pollen. Soybeans may therefore have agroecological interests beneficial mass rearing promote biological agents control S. As densities, minimum maximum parasitized obtained respectively 100 eggs per female T. remus, Trichogramma sp. C. insularis 5 50 larvae marginiventris. Taking into account interesting results which would be favourable rapid multiplication parasitoids, tests real environments necessary test main environmental performance said parasitoids.

Histological and Histochemical Changes by Clove Essential Oil Upon the Gonads of Spodoptera frugiperda (JE Smith) (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae)
Spodoptera frugiperda is a polyphagous insect that causes economic losses to several crops in Brazil and is the major obstacle to corn production. Researches focusing on alternative control, e.g. botanical products are expanding to offer a wide variety of molecules that interfere with different biological parameters of insect pests. Thus, this study tested the hypothesis that clove essential oi...

Spodoptera frugiperda (J E Smith) is an important pest of several crops, but especially on maize in Brazil. The implementation of biological control measures hinges on the identification of its predators and other natural enemies. As a means of identifying predators, antibodies against S. frugiperda eggs were generated by inoculating rabbits with macerated S. frugiperda eggs, and the production...

Functional response of Telenomus remus Nixon (Hymenoptera, Scelionidae) to Spodoptera frugiperda (J. E. Smith) (Lepidoptera, Noctuidae) eggs: effect of female age. Functional response of 24-h and 48-h-old Telenomus remus adults was studied on Spodoptera frugiperda eggs. The study was carried out in climatic chamber regulated at 25 ± 1°C, 70 ± 10% RH and 12:12h (L: D). Females of T. remus were h...

The fall army worm Spodoptera frugiperda (Smith) is a migratory important pest of corn, sorghum, rice, grass and bermudagrass in North and South America. This species has diverged into two genetically differentiated but morphologically identical strains, "the rice" and "the corn". They have been analyzed by sequencing the genes cytochrome oxydase I, II and ITS1 from populations from the United ...
